A little known fact about me is that I am addicted to vintage chairs….I have been for as long as I have been married (15 years!). I picked my first vintage chair up free at an Op-Shop as it was too broken for them to sell….I saw beauty in it’s brokenness and knew I could give it new life….15 years later it is still a work in progress and a tonne more chairs have joined its ranks. I planned to be more motivated this year and give some (if not all!) of these chairs a fabulous new makeover! This first chair is a simple makeover (anyone can do this!). I feel in love with the gorgeous legs and spindled back of this chair and I knew with a lick of paint and new fabric it could be cool again. I used Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Pure White and found this adorable deer and polka dot fabric that was perfect for updating this outdated chair.
Don’t you think it looks wayyyyy better now?! I will have lots of furniture makeovers to share with you in the coming weeks as I have been crazy busy painting four pieces for Tanawha House where I will be stocking some of my furniture and teaching workshops. My pieces will be in store starting Thursday and Workshops start February….I am very excited to start this new adventure! I will keep you updated via social media. I hope you have a fabulous week!
