Furniture Makeover: Little Blue Dresser

This and a coordinating sideboard & dresser (see them here and here) were the first pieces I intentionally  bought to resell. They were originally hand painted with flowers which was a bit ugly and had a lot of wear, including old sticky tape! I painted it with Anne Sloan Chalk Paint in Provence (my favourite colour in her line) and created some stripes on the side in Pure White. I also spray painted the handles with white paint. I do not generally like keeping old hardware but I had to with these pieces.

Don’t you just love the detail on the lower drawer? I think all the little curves are what makes this one special…..I have to say I had a hard time selling it!

I absolutely loved how this turned out and the lady that bought my daughters dresser also bought this piece.
