Furniture Makeover: Little Green Dresser

One of my favourite past times is to paint…..I love the transformative powers of paint. I don’t care whether it is a wall, canvas or piece of furniture….give me some paint and I am a happy girl. Over the years I have done several painted pieces of furniture for our home and my studio. Last year I painted a dresser for Rena’s room and it made me realise how much I really love painting furniture. It sparked a fire within me….so I started seeking out furniture to makeover. I now have a huge stash of furniture to paint and have sold a lot of pieces online and have even been asked to do my first custom job.

Below is the little dresser that started it all, it is painted with latex paint – I refinished the wood top – since first doing this I have changed the types of paint I work with now I use Annie Sloan Chalk Paint and Miss Mustard Seed Milk Paint. I especially love working with Milk Paint. I have since sold this piece and I am currently working on a desk for Rena’s room instead as she loves to draw and write.
