This piece of furniture definitely makes a statement. Originally I was just going to paint this with Miss Mustard Seed Milk Paint in Flow Blue and call it done but when I finished painting it I felt it was just too boring and needed a little bit more personality. I always strive to create one of a kind pieces that have something unique or special about them and this one needed a little something to get it there. So I got onto Pinterest and did some searching…..I knew I wanted to do a white design to tie in with the knobs and I came across a wall decal design I liked and thought would look lovely flowing over the piece but not completely covering it. I liked the idea of an asymmetrical design. So using the design as inspiration I free handed with chalk over the piece and used MMSMP in Linen to paint on the floral design.
I spent about 3 hours hand painting the whole design……and it finally had that something special it needed. I know someone will fall in love with this piece.
This is currently for sale at Tanawha House if anyone is interested. What do you think of the design? This is something a little different for me and I would love to hear what you think!
This is a beautiful transformation. I agree with everyone else, I love the color. I think it really adds a lot of character to the piece. Makes it personal. Different from the normal. I love it… Thanks for sharing.
I love this — what a transformation!

I love the design! I think it needs a little bird too, but that’s just because I like birds. The turquoise is just stunning.
