Gilly! Best interior design blog in 2016! Wonderful work and please keep it up!
Gilly, I would love to see more of your home. I think we are a lot alike in that we love antique furniture, we love to take the broken and make it good again, we love, Love, LOVE the show Fixer Upper and their neutral, natural style. However, we can’t resist color either, I love navy, kelly green, hot pink. I feel like my two loves (Fixer Upper/Antiques and Colors/ Modern Patterns) are a contradiction that I’m not really blending well. Maybe you’ve seen my living room? I found your blog from Betterafter.net so maybe you follow Lindsey. I did the “Scabies Bear” project in the Mystery Thrift off (which is shown in my LR). Anyway, I would love to see more of your house because you seem to have a knack for combining these “contradicting” styles. -Janet
HI Janet! So great to hear from you! I love that you think our styles are alike and yes I have seen the “scabies bear” projects….that was amazing! It is hard to combine vintage and modern and colour and pattern…..and all the stuff I like! I find myself pulling back a little in some areas because combining all my tastes can be overwhelming at times. It is a hard balance and I am not sure I always do it successfully. I definitely have an eclectic style, which is what i would say you have also! I do have some more of my home coming up soon on the blog so if you aren’t subscribed already you should I would love to have you follow along! BTW I am thinking of adding green to my home too! I have always loved emerald green and I am really loving rooms I see with green accents. Thanks for getting in touch if you ever want someone as a sounding board for your ideas or just want to chat you can always email me at: I would love to chat with you about anything! xo Gilly
